Other Wildlife

 

 

Late 2011 and early 2012 saw up to 3 Humpback whales in the area. Often showing exceptionally well off the village and nearby headlands, they gave many locals a spectacular experience viewing from their front rooms.

None of these photos, taken when the whales first appeared, are a patch on the following taken by a visiting observer:
